What is Asante Health?
Asante Health is a guided companion that helps you prepare your body for orthopedic surgery
across nutrition, activity, sleep, and mood, and helps you stay on track in the weeks before and
after your procedure.
Is this medical advice?
No. Asante Health provides educational and coaching content and is not a substitute for advice from your surgeon or care team. Always follow your care team’s instructions.
What is the readiness score?
It is a simple summary of your logged habits across several health areas, designed to help you see your progress. It is a motivational and tracking tool, not a medical diagnosis.
How does photo meal logging work?
Take a photo of your meal and the app estimates what is in it. You can correct any estimate. Free accounts can log up to [3] meals per day; paid accounts can log up to 50 per day.
How much does it cost?
Asante Health is $399 one time for a 6-month surgery cycle, which includes all features described in your plan.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
In many cases, yes. The app connects you to TrueMed, which checks your eligibility and, if you qualify, issues a Letter of Medical Necessity. TrueMed handles that process.
What is the Surgeon Prep Card?
It is a one-page PDF summary of your preparation that you can bring to your pre-op appointment to discuss with your surgical team.
When do I get my Prep Card?
It is generated automatically 14 days before your scheduled surgery date. You will get an email and an in-app notification, and you can always download it under You > Surgeon Prep Card Download.
Does the app send my Prep Card to my surgeon?
No. You download it and choose whether to share it. The app does not send it to your surgeon’s office.
What are the post-op check-ins?
Around Day 30 and Day 90 after surgery, the app invites you to complete a short questionnaireabout your recovery. These help you track your progress and help improve the program.
Who can see my data?
You do. We do not sell your personal health data, and you control whether you share information with your care team. See our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for details.
Is my data covered by HIPAA?
Because Asante Health is a consumer app you use directly, it generally is not covered by HIPAA. We protect your information under consumer health data privacy laws, described in our privacy policies.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Purchases are managed through the app store or our web checkout. Cancellation and refund terms follow those platforms’ policies and our Terms of Service.
What happens when my 6 months end?
Your account moves to the free tier. You keep view access to your own history, and you can renew at any time to restore the full feature set.
